Film Review – Table 19

It is Friday Night. Having watched Their Finest this afternoon, followed by Table 19, I’ve had enough screen time for one day. Well apart from planning to watch some AFL or Breaking Bad.

One thing is for sure, having sat through the entire 87 minutes of this deceptively marketed film that wants to lure cinemagoers in on the premise of enjoying a comedy with some lovable names including Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant and Craig Robinson, I’ve wasted more than enough time in determining that Table 19 is “A Great Big Pile of Stink“. 1 Star.

Have a great weekend everybody!

  1. I think the critics are a bit harsh on this film. Its really two films in one: a cliche wedding rom-com plus a more sensitve comedy of manners looking at what it feels like for some guests to be marginalised as un-important. There were some touching scenes that were away from the wedding that saved the film from being a mess.
