Charlie’s Angels – Film Review

One of the bigger disappointments this year comes from wonderful actor, writer and director Elizabeth Banks with her latest incarnation of TV favourite Charlie’s Angels, experiencing the dreaded & unnecessary reboot, seriously lacking in chemistry, comedy and excitement. Kristen Stewart and relative newcomer Ella Balinska play two of the Angels, who come to the assistance of Aladdin’s Naomi Scott, a systems engineer blowing the whistle on a dangerous technology. Maybe I’m missing something but this really should have been more fun. A truly generic action film in dire need of jokes, it reminded me of the pedestrian Ocean’s 8.

2 & ½ Stars. Not a lot of fun.
