If Shazam! Is a ray of light, then Galveston is a cloud of darkness. From the creator and writer of TV series True Detective, Nic Pizzolatto, Galveston stars Ben Foster as Roy, a hitman, and Elle Fanning as a young escort Rocky. It’s 1988 and the pair escape a violent crime taking a road trip where they end up at a dingy motel. It’s a story of struggle and survival, and it is VERY grim.
