It’s been a fascinating month of movie related activities for me.
On Saturday 1st October I reviewed The Magnificent Seven and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children on Weekend Sunrise…
And a week later Deepwater Horizon and Girl on the Train…
I confirmed my involvement in several panels at the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) on the Gold Coast including Hacksaw Ridge…

And Thor Ragnarok…

I also hosted an event in honour of Saroo and Sue Brierly about whom the film Lion has been made.
I also presented Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton with an award for their contribution to Australian Film.

And hosted the AIMC Gala Dinner where Kiwi Director Taika Waititi came along as Sam Neil’s date as Sam accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award.

It was an honour to be part of such a great week of film events and great to get a sneak peek at the coming year’s films.

I was pleased to accept an award on behalf of Chris Hemsworth…
And catch up with the delightful Dami Im…
I returned from the Gold Coast and reviewed Inferno and Masterminds
Before attending the Red Carpet for the Australian Premiere of Hacksaw Ridge…

And interviewed Teresa Palmer for the film also, at a junket at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney…

This week I had the pleasure of meeting Director Kriv Stenders who introduced The Shining for our In The House Halloween screening. His new film is out Boxing Day
And I also met Hong Kong Director Simon Chung, in Australia shooting his new film #IMYWISY with Hong Kong Producer Sophia Shek at a Cabramatta Chinese Restaurant…
It’s been a busy few weeks!
