Film Review – The Age of Adaline

Also out this week and dealing with the question of ageing, or rather NOT ageing is The Age of Adaline. I was in two minds about this and it didn’t take long to be won over by Blake Lively’s performance.

It’s the kind of story that you’ll either love or hate.

A woman born in 1908 has an inexplicable experience as a result of a car accident following the strange occurrence of snow falling in Northern California, and she remains 29 for the rest of her life.

If you can buy the far fetched premise then you’re in for what is essentially a quirky romantic thriller, with high stakes when Adaline’s modern lover Ellis Jones played by Game of Thrones Michiel Huisman has something in common with one of Adaline’s past lovers that threatens to be revealed.

4 Stars.
