I was dreading seeing this and really thought it would be garbage.

I even solicited people on my Facebook to write a review on my behalf to save me seeing it.

The response was very mixed, interesting to see a large number of people had seen it and enjoyed it.

I have to say it was remarkably enjoyable.

I took myself along to see it in IMAX in 3D in Los Angeles and it looked great, was fast paced and had a lot of laughs.

Despite nothing original beyond the main characters being Turtles that are Nijas and are Mutated. And are Tennagers, TMNT, even the look for the key baddie shredder was borrowed from the Silver samurai, a robot like villain in wolverine.

It was funny, poked fun at itself and paid tribute to the original idea.

Ridiculously silly and a helluva lot of fun.

3 stars.
